    WHITE PINE, Mich. - Lucille Helen Puuri, age 87, passed away on November 21, 2016. She was born on October 10, 1929 in Ahmeek. She was baptized in Apostolic Lutheran Church in Calumet. She attended school in Ahmeek and Wolverine, middle school in Laurium, graduated from Calumet High School in 1948. On April 8, 1950, Lucille was united in marriage to Paul Matthew Puuri. He was born April 29, 1958, in Ashland, the son of Maynard and Joyce (Maday) Whitebird Sr. In 1976, he graduated from Ashland High School and later attended UW-Superior.
