    IRONWOOD - November will long be remembered as one of the most brutal weather months in Ironwood's history. Statistics from the National Weather Service point out just how severe it turned out to be. The month ended on a quiet note on Sunday, giving way to below-zero temperatures on Monday in Ironwood and a biting wind. The November snowfall total of 89.2 inches set a record.   • Riders advised to watch for trail groomers

    With snowmobile trails opening Monday, the Western U.P. Convention and Visitor Bureau urges riders to be on the lookout for groomers. With 92 inches of snow already, there's plenty of snow to groom on the high terrain, but the swamps are still full of water. "Pull over or at least slow down and wait for the operator to signal you by whenever you see them," the bureau advised.     WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Delores May "Tookie" Zwick, 72, a longtime resident of Wakefield, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. Delores was born on Feb. 18, 1942, in Merriweather, a daughter of Frank Oliver and Vera Idessa (Cook) Raymond. She attended Bergland High School and graduated in 1960. On June 8, 1963, Delores was united in marriage to William Larue Zwick at St. Jude Catholic Church in White Pine.
