Saturday night’s parade along Aurora Street in downtown Ironwood had 42 parade entries, said Meyer. The event brought a large crowd, as Aurora Street was lined with people on both sides.     By ZACHARY MARANO [email protected] The Midwest Snocross Series scheduled at Mt. Zion at Gogebic Community College in Ironwood has been moved to Salem, Wisconsin. Pending confirmation from the local ambulance service, the races will now be held at Digger Doug Gust’s facility in Salem on Saturday and Sunday.     IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. - Richard "Smitty" Smith passed away peacefully on Nov. 21, 2021. Smitty was the son of the late Paul J. Smith and Helen Lahti, both of Negaunee. Smitty proudly served his country through three tours in Vietnam while in the U.S. Navy. Afterwards he attended Northern Michigan University and received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. In Marquette, he worked for the Public Works Department and at UPPCO.
