BESSEMER - Members of the Bessemer Downtown Development Authority heard an update about the Ethnic Commons project and agreed to partner with the city and fund one of three seasonal employees. City Manager Mike Uskiewicz said the city was going to hire two seasonal workers and asked the DDA if they would fund the third position, which would perform mowing, trash pickup and other duties specifically in the downtown area. BESSEMER — Members of the Bessemer City Planning Commission discussed how the city can make use of its land by creating new recreational trails and selling some for commercial development during its meeting on Wednesday. One portion of land that was discussed at the meeting is located near the southwest border of the city. EGG HARBOR, Wis. — Susan Harriet Maloney Casey, 86, of Egg Harbor, formerly of Northfield and Wilmette, Ill., died peacefully at her home on May 1, 2014. Susan was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Pittsburg, and later grew up in De Pere. Susan graduated from East High School in Green Bay and attended Finch College in New York.
