    IRONWOOD - Ironwood coach Kari Jacquart told her team to expect a low-scoring defensive battle with rival Hurley and that's exactly what happened.   • Iron County joins statewide legal effort against opioid makers

    HURLEY — Iron County is joining other Wisconsin counties in filing lawsuits against the manufactures of opioid medications, after the Iron County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution to that effect Tuesday.     MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Eugene R. “Eggy” Ridanpaa, 85, formerly of Ironwood, died peacefully at home on Monday, Dec. 18. He is survived by children, Gena Ridanpaa, Jackie (Andrew) Fritsch and Teri Jo (Todd) Spencer. He was a proud grandpa of Haley Jo Spencer, Evyn Rae Spencer, Jackson Paul Spencer and Nicholas Andrew Fritsch and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and special friend Clara Borneman.
