Patricia (Berwald) Bolling

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Patricia (Berwald) Bolling died suddenly at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, on March 26, 2013.

She was born Dec. 3, 1938, to Percy and Louise (Cardone) Berwald in Bessemer, Mich. She graduated from A.D Johnston High School in 1956, attended Eastern Michigan University, and graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in education in 1962.

After teaching one year in Traverse City, Mich., she moved to Las Vegas, where she met Steve Bolling. They were married for a number of years.

She received a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, and served as a human resources manager for numerous defense contractors at a Nevada test site. Later she did volunteer psychotherapy for various foundations and on a private basis until her death.

She is fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews as one who never forgot holidays and was always concerned with their well-being, giving them the great gift of listening. She will be missed by all nine of them.

She is survived by her siblings, Charles (Karol) Berwald, Joyce (Paul Graitge) Forte, Bill (Shelly) Berwald and May Jane (Jon) Eggleston. Her death is also a great loss for her beloved companion and friend, Joe Calovini.

Donations may be made to the National Association for the Mentally Ill ( in her honor.

Services will be held on April 8 at 1 p.m. at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., in Las Vegas. In celebration of her life, a gathering of family and friends will take place in Bessemer during the Fourth of July festivities, a time she cherished.
