WESTON, Wis. — Merry E. Funk, 71, Mercer, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at St. Clare’s Hospital, Weston.
She was born Sept. 13, 1941, in Avilla, Ind., daughter of Evert and Carrie (Craft) Pippenger.
On Dec. 8, 1972, she married James Funk in Fort Wayne, Ind. He survives.
Merry had been employed as an assistant manager in a hardware store in Mercer.
Survivors include her husband, James Funk, Mercer; her mother, Carrie Pippenger, Fort Wayne; a son, Jeff (Desi) Smith, Lancaster, Calif .; and one brother, Mark Pippenger, Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her father, Evert Pippenger; and a brother, Chet.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
