Hospital's annual auction to benefit emergency room project, set for Nov. 2

IRONWOOD — The third annual auction benefitting the emergency room project at Aspirus Grand View will be take place Nov. 2.

The event is called, “A Tisket, a Tasket, a Table or a Basket,” will feature gift baskets and handmade or detailed tables for auction, with all the proceeds benefitting the ER construction project.

Items have been donated by local residents and businesses for the event, and they feature themes. Some of the themes include flowers, house remodeling projects like painting and cleaning, movies, dinners for two, baking and even a harvest basket to help with planning Thanksgiving.

“Anyone can donate a table or basket, if he or she wishes,” Patti Corullo, auxiliary and foundation coordinator, said, “We’ll accept donations up until Oct. 31.”

The event takes place in the Ironwood Memorial Building at 5 p.m., with hor d’oeuvres and music. The auction begins at 6:15 p.m. Beverages can be purchased during the event.

“It’s really excellent to have everyone pitching in for our ER project because we really need it,” Corullo said. “We hope people will come and bid on some great stuff.”

Tickets can be purchased at Z Place Gallery, the Nifty Gifty Shoppe at Aspirus Grand View and the door.
