PHOENIX, Ariz. — Sharon L. Chavez, 56, of Phoenix, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at the Hospice of the Valley, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
Sharon was born Jan. 14, 1958, in Myrtle Beach, Ore., daughter of the late George and Janet (Dobson) Sworab. She attended school in Bessemer and Ramsay, Mich., graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in 1976 and from Gogebic Community College in 1978. On Nov. 29, 1980, Sharon married Francisco Chavez in Grand Island, Neb.
She was employed by Fry’s Marketplace on East Shea and North Tatum in Phoenix.
She is survived by her daughter, Selena; sister, Lucille (Alan) Olsen, of Bastrop, Texas; brothers, Louis, of Ramsay, William (Mary), of Bellevue, Neb., Steven (Terry), of Ashland, N.H., and Mark (Melissa), of Houston; an uncle, Richard (Nancy) Dobson, of Mesa, Ariz .; and aunts, Judy (Bill) Thomas, of John Day, Ore., and Lucy Golembeski, of Wakefield, Mich .; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was truly loved and will be sorely missed.
A spring burial will take place at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer.
