Pamela 'Pammy' (LaPointe) Schlosser

GRAND VIEW, Wis. — Pamela “Pammy” (LaPointe) Schlosser, 62, of Grand View, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at her home in Grand View.

She was born Jan. 25, 1953, in Houghton, Mich., the daughter of Phillip and Florence (Rabideaux) LaPointe.

Pam was a 1971 graduate of White Pine (Mich.) High School. She continued her schooling at Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, Mich., where she received her LPN certificate. Pam married Mike Schlosser on July 7, 1974, in White Pine. They resided in Wisconsin Rapids where they helped operate Schlosser Lumber. Pam also worked as a bookkeeper at the Wisconsin Rapids Hospital for many years. Mike preceded her in death in 2002.

She is survived by her significant other, Lance Wernberg of Grand View; brother, Howard LaPointe of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Sheila (Martin) Robertson of White Pine; step-brothers, John (Karen) O’Brien of Manitowish, Pat (Anni) O’Brien of Germany, and Mike (Faye) O’Brien of Texas; several nieces and nephews; special caretakers and friends, Jackie Gunderson and Virginia Fischer; and her dog, Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Veronica Store and Sharon Puckett; stepmother, Margaret “Lynn” LaPointe; and stepbrother, Kelly O’Brien.

There will be no formal services at this time. Memorials may be made to Regional Hospice Services of Ashland.
