Weekend rain doesn't dampen ATV rally turnout

HURLEY — Motorized trail enthusiasts were in Iron County Memorial Day weekend to participate in the county’s 31st annual ATV/UTV weekend rally.

While there wasn’t an official count, Hurley Chamber of Commerce marketing and events coordinator Rita Franzoi estimates anywhere from 425 to 450 all-terrain vehicles and utility-task vehicles participated in Friday’s parade.

“Businesses were very pleased (with the turnout),” Franzoi said. “(There was) lots of activity.”
