Bette J. Pemble


PARK FALLS, Wis. - Bette J. Pemble, also known as "B.S. Bette", age 92, of Mercer, passed away on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1924 in Winchester, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (nee Butler) Duranso. Bette married Kenneth R. Pemble on August 30, 1941. She worked at American Motors for many years and owned and operated Deer Lodge in Mercer.

Bette is survived by her sons, Ernest (Cheryl) Pemble, Melvin (Linda) Pemble and Terry (Marge) Pemble; sister, Lois (Peggy) Casey; sister-in-law, Phylis Duranso; 14 grandchildren; 31great grandchildren and 11 great, great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Duranso and Ruth Butler Duranso McElrone; husband, Kennth R. Pemble; daughters, Meredith Konzem and Bette Ruth McManus; granddaughters, Monica and Tiffiny Pemble and Betsy Davis; sisters, Hazel Pliers and Katherine Duranso and brothers, Gorden, Kenneth and Jack Duranso.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at Bolger Funeral Home - Woodruff Chapel, followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM. Interment will be at Mercer Cemetery in the spring. Bolger Funeral and Cremation Services, 715-356-3200 or visit to share condolences.
