SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister, Jane Marie Roland, of Marenisco, Mich., age 59, on Saturday, March 25, 2017, in Springfield, of natural causes.

Jane was born July 1, 1957, in Wakefield, Mich., to the late John and Helen MacLeod, Marenisco.

Jane graduated from Marenisco High School in 1975 and was employed at Simpson Electric Co. in Mercer, Wis., for several years. She also did housekeeping at Lake Gogebic.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Roland; her sister, Barbara Godleski; her nephews, Scott Godleski and Thomas Charles; and a niece, Sheri Reichardt.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Jacqueline (Tom) Charles, Marenisco, Patti (Ken) Reichardt, Marenisco, and Kim (Bob) Adams, Plover Wis .; brothers, John MacLeod, VA Medical Center, Tomah, Wis., Timothy (Jean) MacLeod, Marenisco, and Mark (Jill) MacLeod, Bessemer, Mich .; nieces, Sue Lee, Sandy Reichardt, Jill Enger, Tara Erspamer, Aimee Adams, Dana Halberg and Harmony Polo; nephews, John MacLeod, Jason MacLeod, Keith Reichardt, Bob Reichardt and Jeremiah Halberg.

Jane loved the lake and enjoyed fishing, boating, bonfires and entertaining guests. She loved decorating for the holidays and was an excellent cook, something she inherited from her mother. She enjoyed spending the winters in Missouri.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at the Marenisco Cemetery Saturday, April 22, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Roy Speck officiating. A lunch will follow at Gogebic Lodge.
