John B. Koehler

GERMANTOWN, Wis. - John B. Koehler, 89, of Menomonee Falls, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Tender Reflections Assisted Living Center in Germantown.

He was born Dec. 3, 1927, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Bernhard and Mary (Lauer) Koehler.

John attended Shorewood High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II. He worked as a steel cutter for Interstate Drop Forge Company in Milwaukee for many years, until his retirement in 1990.

He married the former Joyce Barna in Milwaukee. She survives.

He enjoyed camping and motorcycles, and had a compassion for animals.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Menomonee Falls; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Paul.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017, in the Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood. Fr. Robb Jurkovich will officiate. Full Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 5 Honor Guard of Ironwood.
