Ironwood - The Gogebic Range Health Foundation, formed with the purchase of Grand View Hospital by Aspirus, is hosting an annual fund-raiser Sunday, June 25, to benefit CPR education and enable the purchase of defibrillators.

The fund-raiser costs $25 per person and is being held at the Cold Iron Brewery in downtown Ironwood, with doors opening at 3 p.m. The under 18 crowd is free.

The GRHF goal is to match one-for-one defibrillators purchased by local businesses or people with one donated by either the GRHF or the Allied 100 company.

Allied 100 is also providing demonstrations during the fund-raiser on how to use the defibrillators.

Candy Pogliano, executive director of GRHF, said with the ticket purchase, a person is automatically entered into a special drawing valued at $300. The GRHF has an entire room stuffed with prizes to be given away during the fund-raiser.

There are Coach and Michael Kors purses, giant stuffed animals and bears, luggage, and a seven-day stay in Florida available. In addition to the prizes, each ticket holder receives a free beer coupon.

The band Strange CRU is providing music for singing and dancing.

Tickets are available at the Cold Iron Brewery, Cherry Ridge Custom Framing, and GRHF office in the back corner of the Eye Center.
