Robert 'Rob' Korhonen

PORTAGE COUNTY, Wis. — Robert “Rob” Korhonen, 48, died Saturday, July 8, 2017, in Portage County.

Robert was born Nov. 6, 1968, in Milwaukee, a son of Barbara “Toni” Anderson and Robert Korhonen.

On Sept. 3, 1993, he was united in marriage to Jody Wolf. She survives and resides in Antigo.

Robert was a machinist at JARP Industries in Schofield.

Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include two daughters, Stacy (Tyler) Zarda of Antigo, and Karissa Korhonen of Antigo; six grandchildren, Lyndsay, 8, Kael, 5, Harper, 5, Logan, 4, Christopher, 3, and Leon, 1.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved to ride motorcycle and fish. He enjoyed cooking out on the grill and most importantly loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his friend Buddy Krause. He loved his dog, Saxon. Everyone he ever met liked him. His wife, daughters and grandchildren absolutely adored him. He was a great man with a heart of gold.

A memorial service will be held Saturday in Antigo from 9 to 11 a.m.
