US Army Corps awards Saxon dredging contract, levee work

DETROIT — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has selected a company to perform its portion of the dredging work at Saxon Harbor.

Roen Salvage Company was awarded the $993,000 dredging contract to remove approximately 18,000 cubic yards of material from the marina’s main channel and do some repairs to the harbor’s levees, according to Lynn Rose, a spokesperson with the Army Corps in Detroit.
