Street sealing costs come in under budget

IRONWOOD — With the city of Ironwood conducting a street repair program over the past several years, most of the streets have been resurfaced and that’s a benefit in many ways.

City manager Scott Erickson noted this week that the summer crack sealing costs came in under budget because the streets are in such good shape, meaning there’s money left over for more sealing next year.

Streets north of U.S. 2 were crack-sealed, as planned, and because the project was so much under budget, some streets south of the highway were also done.
