Wind advisory warning issued

A wind advisory was issued for northern Wisconsin through noon today.

Winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour were expected, with gusts up to 45 mph, which could result in power outages.

The warning beginning at 6 p.m. Monday was issued for Bayfield, Ashland, Iron, Sawyer and Price counties and included the cities of Washburn, Bayfield, Ashland, Hurley, Hayward and Phillips.

The National Weather Service warned strong winds might blow around unsecured objects and tree limbs could come down.

With snow likely, poor visibility could make travel difficult.

A few inches of snow was predicted for Ironwood today, with 4 to 7 inches possible on Wednesday.
