Sherryn A. "Sherry" Carlson

MARSHFIELD, Wis. - Sherryn A. "Sherry" Carlson, 75, of Winchester, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 in Marshfield.

She was born Dec. 27, 1942 in Ironwood, daughter of the late John (Al) and Evelyn (Erickson) Josephson. Sherry attended Ironwood schools and graduated from the Luther L. Wright High School with the class of 1960.

On July 16, 1960, she was united in marriage to Gene E. Carlson at the Grace Lutheran Church.

They resided in Ironwood Township until moving to their cottage home on No Man's Lake in Winchester.

Sherry enjoyed fishing, pontooning and cooking for her family. She had a "green thumb" and loved planting flowers and gardening. She especially enjoyed feeding and watching hummingbirds. Sherry was a beautiful painter and also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her husband, Gene and two sons, Mike and Darryl, all of Winchester; three daughters, Pam (Brian) Orr of Ironwood Township, Mich., Heidi (Scott) Jenks of Oxford, Mich., and Gina (Ryan) Clarke of Rhinelander; six grandchildren, Jake (Corren) Armata, McKenna Orr, Tyler and Emma Jenks, Hannah Clarke and Joshua Carlson; and a great-grandson Jaxon Ribich and one "on the way". Sherry is also survived by two sisters, JoJo Buckovetz of Ironwood Township, Mich., and Debbie (Bob) Carlson of Wakefield, along with nieces, nephews, close friends and relatives.

Besides her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by a son, Dale, a granddaughter, Heather and a brother-in-law, Bruce Buckovetz.

Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held this summer in July.
