HIT receives new roof

IRONWOOD — The Historic Ironwood Theatre needed a new roof. The theatre sought grants and donations, with the Downtown Ironwood Development Authority providing one $2,500 donation and another $2,500 in matching funds to encourage others to match, dollar for dollar up to $2,500.

All winter the theatre raised funds to replace the roof and over the last five days, the old roof was removed and the new roof installed, with completion actually expected today.
