WORK CONTINUES on replacing a bridge along M-28 over Jackson Creek east of Wakefield Wednesday. The project's accompanying detour, traveling U.S. 2 and M-64 along the west side of Lake Gogebic, opened Tuesday, after the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The $3.9 million project will remove the existing 1932 bridge and replace it with a wider, higher and longer structure.
