GIANT raid seizes crack

WATERSMEET — The Gogebic-Iron Area Narcotics team on Thursday executed a search warrant in Watersmeet Township and arrested 29-year-old Elizabeth McGeshick.

The investigation began in March, according to GIANT, and involved a number on individuals.

During the search of a residence, officers found around 10 grams of crack cocaine, prescribed medication and money.

McGeshick was incarcerated in the Gogebic County Jail at Bessemer on a $150,000 bond.

She faces charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine less than 50 grams, a 20-year felony; possession with intent to deliver Oxycodone, a seven-year felony, and maintaining a drug house, a two-year felony.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected, according to GIANT.

The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department, Lac View Desert Tribal Police Department and Gogebic County Health and Human Service Department also assisted in the investigation.
