Hurley — The search continued Monday for a Hurley man reported missing over the weekend.

Rich Tilton, 63, has been missing since approximately 8 p.m. Saturday, according to an Iron County Sheriff’s Department Facebook post.

Department officials said searchers found Tilton’s vehicle and dog Monday, and were actively searching an area south of Hurley with canine units and planes in hopes of finding Tilton.

The department said it didn’t want to specify the area searchers were looking at to avoid civilians contaminating the area.

Tilton was last seen near Rangeview Drive in Hurley with his German Shepherd, according to the department’s post on Sunday, driving a 2002 white Toyota Forerunner.

Anyone who may have information on Tilton’s possible location is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 715-561-3800.
