MERCER, Wis. — Lucille Brandt, 92, passed away on April 15, 2017.
Lucille was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Hinsdale, Mont. She graduated from Mercer High School in 1943.
She married Mark E. Brandt Jr. on April 29, 1945. Lucy and her husband, Mark, were partners with Darrell and Vera Brandt in Brandt’s Store until they retired in 1999.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star, Mercer Snow A Go Goers, Mercer Loons Motorcycle Club and the Mercer Lioness.
Surviving Lucy are her sons, Mark Brandt III and Joel Patrick Brandt; five grandchildren, Lisa Brandt, Laura Brandt, Markie Brandt (Jenny), Noel Brandt (Christin) and Natalie Brandt; four grandchildren, Avery, Chloe, Conner and James Mercer; one step great-grandson, Allen Sturgeon, and a cousin on her husband’s side, Janet (Bud) Georgie.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark; an aunt, Mary Johnson; and Mark’s brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Vera Brandt.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 9, at 1 p.m. at The Pines in Mercer. Coffee and cake will be served after the service.
