Rick Torma

September 18, 2018

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Rick Torma, 53, of Golden Valley, Minn., formerly of Ironwood, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 12, 2018.

Rick was born in Ironwood to MaryAnn and Dick Torma on Sept. 18, 1964. He attended school in Ironwood and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1983.

Rick moved to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, where he found work with his love of technology. Most recently, he was a VOIP communications analyst for Cardinal Glass Industries.

Rick enjoyed being with his family and friends (and he had many.) Rick had a smile and laugh (snort) that could brighten any room. People would gravitate towards him. He was the life of the party. He loved all the latest and greatest gadgets and technology. He enjoyed cheering for the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins.

Rick is survived by his partner of 31 years, Greg Brunello; his mother, MaryAnn Torma; his brother and sister-in-law, Clark and Jodi Torma; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Kayla Chad and Ryder Lichtenberger, Eric and Caryn Brunello, Alexis and Josh Troutman, Anthony and Brie Brunello, and Bridget Brunello; and his basset hounds, Greta and Bernie.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Dick Torma; his maternal grandparents, Carl and Helen Cedarstrom; his paternal grandparents, Matthew and Wilhelmina Torma; and his niece, Carly Jo Torma.

We will celebrate the life of Rick on Friday, Sept. 21. Please join us for a luncheon at the Iron Nugget from noon to 2 p.m. to share stories and remember a life lived to the fullest.
