Bernard J. Murra

IRONWOOD, Mich. — Bernard J. Murra, 92, passed away on Sept. 17, 2018, in Ironwood.

Bernie was born on Feb. 12, 1926, in Rhinelander, Wis., to the late Edward and Julia (Jurobko) Murra. He was a graduate of St. Ambrose High School in Ironwood. He was employed with OK Auto Parts in Rhinelander, where he managed the store.

Bernie enjoyed bowling and over the years won several trophies in tournament bowling. He also enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Packers fan.

He is survived by his brother, John Murra, of Hurley; a sister, Elizabeth Vukusich; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward Jr., Bill and Eugene; and sisters, Margaret, Regina and Charlotte.

Private services for Bernie were held. Burial will take place at a later date in Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood.
