Linda Hollandsworth of Hurley purchases a Mega Millions lottery ticket from Midland Services convenience store clerk Joanne Barto in Hurley Monday evening. The drawing is tonight at 10 o'clock. On Monday, lottery officials estimated the prize to be $1.6 billion, but that number could grow with ticket sales today. The game is played in 44 states, including Wisconsin and Michigan, and numbers are drawn twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday evenings. The estimated prize for Wednesday's Powerball lottery, another multi-state game drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays, is estimated at $620 million.
