The game is played in 44 states, including Wisconsin and Michigan, and numbers are drawn twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday evenings. The estimated prize for Wednesday's Powerball lottery, another multi-state game drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays, is estimated at $620 million.
