Sydella Marie (Tiberi) Mascotti

APPLE VALLEY, Minn. - Sydella Marie (Tiberi) Mascotti, 74, of Apple Valley, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, Nov. 7, 2018.

Sydella was born on Nov. 26, 1943, in Wakefield, Mich. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1961. Sydella was active in school, sports, (1960 state high school downhill ski champion), work and family. She gradated from Northern Michigan University in 1965 with a Biology degree and later earned a Masters degree in Art from Winona State University.

Sydella worked as a microbiologist before raising her family and returned to work later opening stores for Michaels Craft Company.

She was a creative artist excelling in many art media, but was especially gifted in calligraphy and pottery.

Sydella continued to ski and was an avid SCUBA diver. Traveling the world was another passion she pursued.

Sydella is loved and missed by her husband, Paul; daughters, Kristin and Kandice and their significant others; as well as her grandchildren, Sophia, Kyle, Amelia and Miko.

She will never be forgotten, leaving many loving memories.

Sydella was predeceased by her father, August Tiberi, on July 4, 1967; and her mother, Sydella LeGrave, on Dec. 23, 1993.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 407 Ascherman St., in Wakefield, with the Rev. Robb Jurkovich, celebrant. Also in attendance will be the Immaculate Conception Women's Guild Honor Guard.

Luncheon will be served at the church hall immediately following the Mass.

Rite of Committal and interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield, in the spring.
