Apryl J. Anderson

FARMINGTON, Minn. - Apryl J. Anderson, 38, of Farmington, formerly of Bessemer, Mich., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, in Minnesota.

Apryl was born on April 15, 1980, in Hibbing, a daughter of David and Doreen (Johnson) Anderson. She moved to Apple Valley with her family during her high school years. Apryl graduated from high school in Apple Valley with the class of 1998. She attended Minnesota State University, Mankato and St. Cloud State University studying for an associate degree. Apryl continued her education at Dakota County Technical College and earned a nursing degree.

On Dec. 7, 2006, Apryl was united in marriage to Chad Sterling in Bloomington.

Apryl's happiest moments were spending time with her family and friends, traveling and camping, especially with her son, Caden. One of her most favorite pastimes was watching her son play baseball. She was his biggest fan. Apryl took pleasure in crafting. She loved the holidays because she could indulge in her crafting talent. Music and dance were some of her passions.

Apryl worked at HealthEast Clinic - Midway, in St. Paul, where she shared her most admirable trait, her compassion for others. She lit up a room with her smile and illuminated the world with her heart.

Apryl is survived by her son, Caden; her best friend, Chad; her mother, Doreen (Dale Walker) Anderson, of Bessemer; two sisters, Dara (Joe Lieske) Anderson, of Savage, and Melissa Anderson, of Moose Lake; her godson and nephew, Cody Dauwalter, of Savage; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ryan Heiniemi and Anya also held her heart.

She was preceded in death by her father, David, on May 12, 2008; her grandparents; and Cory Dauwalter.

The family will greet relatives and friends Saturday, Feb. 16, after 11 a.m., at Lakeside Memorial Chapel, 806 Putnam St., in Wakefield, Mich. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m., at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 210 E. Iron St., in Bessemer, with the Rev. Dominic Agyapong, celebrant.

A luncheon will be served at the church hall following the Mass.

Rite of Committal and interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Bessemer, in the spring.
