Peter Roy Stevens

WAUSAU, Wis. — Peter Roy Stevens, 50, of Saxon, passed away on March 9, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau after a brief illness surrounded by his friends and family.

Peter was born July 19, 1968, to Clarence and Gay (Pollari) Stevens in Oconomowoc.

He attended Newport School and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood. After graduation he attended Dunwoody Institute of Minneapolis to prepare for his career as a tool and die maker and graduated in 1988. He worked for 30 years for Everson Tool and Die and Precision Tool and Mold, retiring in May 2018.

Peter enjoyed spending time with his many friends: fishing, hunting or traveling to difference parts of the country, and walking his property enjoying nature. He was loved for his contagious smile.

Peter was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Stevens, in 1992.

He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his mother, Gay; brothers, Craig and Hans; and his sister, Greta, all of Ironwood, who was beside him throughout his illness.

At Peter’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to express their thanks to all of Peter’s friends who visited to brighten his days while he was in Wausau.
