Mary Elizabeth Brunelle

IRONWOOD — Mary Elizabeth Brunelle, 100, of Ironwood, passed away June 7, Mary was a lifetime resident of Ironwood, and she graduated from Luther L. Wright School in 1938. Afterwards, she attended Gogebic Community College.

She was a part of the Holy Trinity Altar Society CCD and was the President of Marquette Diocese Council of Catholic Women. She was an avid bowler in the Range Area Bowling league in Hurley, Wis. and was a member of The Eagle Bluff Golf Club. Mary was very fond of sewing, crocheting, and knitting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Laclaw and Mary Laclaw (Petic); her first husband, Frank Mioni; her brothers, Peter, Paul, and Roy Laclaw; and her sisters, Celia Brozzo and Anne Laclaw.

Mary is survived by her husband of over thirty years, Teddy Brunelle of Ironwood; her son, Frank (Gail) Mioni of Huntington Woods; her daughters, Dr. Mary (Jim) Summers of South Ponte Verda Beach, Fla., Helen (John) Toland of Valparaiso, Ind., and Jean (Brian) Stephani of Neewah, Wis.;her brother, Joseph Laclaw of West Bend, Wis .; sister, Helen Laclaw of Milwaukee, Wis .; grandchildren, Robert Mioni, Gabrielle and Jacob Aijala; brother in law, Claude Brozzo of Paoli, Ind. and sister in law, Val Mioni.

The family invites everyone to attend her memorial services to be held Friday, June 14, 2019, at Our Lady of Peace Church located at 108 S. Marquette St. Ironwood, MI 49938.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and services will follow at 11 a.m. Afterwards the burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
