Irene Harma

HURLEY, Wis. - Irene (Hill) Harma, 98, passed away on June 26, 2019, in Hurley, with her family by her side.

She is survived by three sons, Duane Harma, Waterford, James (Edrye) Harma of Kimball, and Stephen (Kathy) Harma of Ironwood, Mich .; six grandchildren, Daniel (Renae) Harma, Debra (Lenny) Harry, Paul (Michele) Harma, Michael (Kandie) Harma, Kari (Erik) Harma-Dennis, and Kristin (Ron) Harma-Gryniewicz; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; four brothers, Reino, Neilo, Arne and Arthur Hill; five sisters, Elsie and Taimi in infancy, Helen Webb, Aili Clemans and Anna Johnson; brothers- and sisters-in-law, John and Mary Brown, Oliver and Dorothy Harma, Bert and Rose Harma, and Carlo and Mary Harma; and daughter-in-law, Donna Harma.

Per her request, cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ironwood Township on Monday, July 1, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steve Hyvonen officiating, preceded by a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Inurnment will take place privately at a later date.
