BESSEMER - An extended thunderstorm late Thursday afternoon did nothing to dampen the spirits of persons viewing or participating in that evening's 4th of July parade on the main street of Bessemer.
Some sprinkles fell off and on during the event, but few people noticed and nobody cared.
