GWINN, Mich. — Mark Hedstrom, 57, of Gwinn, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at his home.
He was born July 8, 1962, in Wakefield, a son of the late Edmund G. and Shirley I. (Ontto) Hedstrom. He was a 1980 graduate of Marenisco High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan Tech in 1985, a master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1990 and another bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan in 2007.
Mark was employed as a chemist at PRA Labs in Ypsilanti and Nelson Paint & Coating prior to earning his second bachelor’s degree. He then went to work as a financial advisor and tax specialist at Hantz Financial.
His interests included Ebay, reading mystery novels, antiquing and he was an avid Green Bay Packers and Detroit Tigers fan.
Mark is survived by his former spouse, Debbie Hedstrom of Saline; an uncle, Norman Abramson of Gwinn; and several cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug. 9, at 2 p.m. at the Gwinn Cemetery with Rev. Rell Spickerman officiating.
