Iron County receives $100,000 state grant

HURLEY — Iron County will have an additional $100,000 to help combat truancy and other juvenile issues after the Iron County Human Services Board learned Monday the county has received a state grant.

The county was awarded the Young Justice Innovative Grant within the last month, according to Human Services Director Cally Kilger.

“It’s very exciting. We did not think we were going to get it,” she said.
