IRONWOOD, Mich. - Kathy A. (Paremsky) Schwab, 51, of Ironwood, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Sept. 25, 2019, at home.
Kathy was born Oct. 12, 1967, in Wakefield, the daughter of the late James and Kay (Baluha) Paremsky. She graduated from Luther L. Wright in 1986.
On June 12, 1994, Kathy married Dave Schwab at Our Lady of Peace Parish in Ironwood. Together they have two children, Alyssa, and Sean Schwab, who she loved very much. Before becoming a homemaker, she worked as a secretary for various businesses in the area.
Kathy loved traveling with her family to various places such as Wisconsin Dells, Minneapolis, or any place with a zoo or amusement park rides. Every Sunday the family would take a small trip to nearby towns for mini-golf or different places to eat. She also enjoyed going to concerts with her husband or kids.
She enjoyed playing board and Wii games with her family and family friends. She was her kids No. 1 fan for their various sporting events, rarely missing a game or race. She loved her holidays, with Christmas being her favorite. She would decorate the entire house with beautiful lights and decorations every year.
She loved her pets, Kya, Kozmo, Furby, Kacee, Lily, and grandpup, Copper. Her favorite cartoon character was Snoopy, and she had many stuffed Snoopy's, t-shirts and even a tattoo.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Dave; children, Alyssa and Sean; two brothers-in-law, Jim and Tim; sister-in-law, Teri; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her uncle, Tom Baluha; aunt, Barbara (Baluha) Pontillo, and mother and father-in-law, Frank and Ann (Racine) Schwab.
Family and friends are invited to gather with the family at McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N Lowell St. Ironwood, MI for a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Deacon Bob Hamen presiding.
