Jean Chouinard

IRONWOOD, Mich. - On Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, Jean Chouinard passed away at the age of 59.

Jean was born on June 14, 1960 in Ironwood to Palma and James Chouinard. A few short paragraphs will never capture the depth of compassion and love in her heart. She was the definition of selfless, consistently sacrificing her needs for the well-being of others without a whisper of complaint, always focused on the positive.

She worked as a waitress for the majority of her life, enjoying making her customers smile and taking great pride that they followed her to wherever she worked. Her love for animals was evident in the many helpless dogs and cats that she brought home to wrap in her love, sparing no expense to make sure they lived a full and happy life. A frequent traveller to local casinos when time allowed.

Above all, her love for family was her center, always looking forward to the next time we were all together.

Jean is preceded in death by her three children, Joseph, Bradley and Samantha; and three grandchildren, Violet, Graham and Evan.
