Ironwood school experiences lockdown

IRONWOOD — The students and staff at Ironwood’s Luther L. Wright K-12 School experienced a brief lockdown Thursday afternoon in response to a possible threat.

District Superintendent Travis Powell said school administration initiated the lockdown with the Ironwood Public Safety Department and other local law enforcement agencies at approximately 1 p.m. after it received concerns about a weapon possibly being in the building.
