Alfred 'Ike' Lathrop

Oconomowoc, Wis. - Alfred "Ike" Lathrop, 87, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019.

Alfred was the loving husband of Ilana Lathrop for over 60 years; dear father of Robert Lathrop, Sharon (Matthew) Page and Chris (Christina) Lathrop; grandfather of Nathan, Robert A., Felicia, Andrew, Brianna, Erica and Rachael; and brother of John Lathrop. He was also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Heritage Funeral Home, 16880 W. National Ave. in New Berlin. A Masonic service will follow at noon.

Ike was a longtime member of the Palmyra (No. 68) and Hurley (No. 237) Masonic Lodges. He was also a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion. After many years, he retired from BFI and won numerous truck driver rodeos.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Ike was proud to have become a pilot later in life.

Alfred also was a very proactive member of the Methodist church and made many people smile being Santa Claus and using clowning to teach scriptures into people's hearts.
