Township board approves gym improvements

IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP — The Ironwood Township Board of Trustees approved additional work on the township gym Monday.

The board approved spending $11,493 on a pair of projects in the township hall’s gym that will piggy-back on the ongoing repairs to the building.

“I don’t think we’re going to have more of a golden opportunity than this, to do some renovations to the gym,” Supervisor Jim Simmons said, referring to the work still being done to repair the gym roof after it was damaged due to last winter’s snow load. “I think this is an...
