Katherine E. 'Kay' Trappa

BESSEMER, Mich. - Katherine E. "Kay" Trappa, 93, a lifelong resident of Bessemer, passed away late Saturday evening, Oct. 26, 2019.

Kay was born on Feb. 22, 1926, in Bessemer, a daughter of William and Sally L. (Klavinski) Trappa. She graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer.

Kay was a loyal employee and assistant to Dr. Perkins in Ironwood until her retirement.

She was a faithful member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Bessemer and remained active in the community by volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul where she served as treasurer for more than 20 years. Kay was a dedicated member of a bridge club and served as their treasurer.

Kay is survived by a special nephew, Douglas W. (Kathy) Allen, Streamwood, Ill .; two dear nieces, Claudia (Robert) Frahm, Athens, Wis., and Diane (Terry) Livingston, Rock Springs, Wyo .; and numerous cherished great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Douglas M. Allen.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
