IRONWOOD, Mich. - Richard J. "Rich" Steinke, 46, of Ironwood, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 15, 2019, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1973, in Milwaukee, Wis.
Richard graduated from Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake, Va., in 1991. He was a member of the National Honor Society. He attended a trade school during his high school year for woodworking, which he enjoyed. Following graduation, he moved to Milwaukee and resided there until April 2011 when he moved here to be by his parents.
He loved RC car racing and building the cars both in Virginia and Milwaukee.
Besides his family, Rich loved his dogs, Zeus, who passed away, and Titan.
Richard is survived by his parents, Paul and Carolyn Steinke; sister, Renee (CB) Harris; aunts and uncles, Paul (Kayla) Bale, Ros (Robert) Harmon, Carol Altman and Peggy (Kevin) Heuer; two nieces, Sara and Breanna; two nephews, Andrew and Branden; and many cousins.
Private services will be held.
