Roselle Marie Pekol Adams

WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Roselle Marie Pekol Adams, 96, formerly of Ironwood, passed away at Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield, Michigan on Nov. 29.

She was born on August 2, 1923, in Ironwood, the daughter of Stanislaus and Teresa (Doroz) Pekol.

Roselle was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood and the former St. Michael's Catholic Church. She served on the Funeral Pall Committee at Our Lady of Peace.

She graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1941.

This little lady was familiar to many people on the Gogebic Range, for she worked 35 1/2 years for Kresges, Jupiter and lastly at K-Mart, retiring in 1987. She was noted for speaking Polish to all her little Polish lady customers.

Roselle was an active, hardworking, energetic lady. She also volunteered as a cashier at St. Vincent de Paul for 11 eleven years.

She was married to Joseph Adams on August 2, 1944. He preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1963.

Roselle is survived by her son, Daniel Lon (Lynn Bloshenko) Adams and a stepdaughter, Jane Cole of Indiana.

Roselle is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and siblings, Teresa, in infancy, Angella (George) Westlund, Elizabeth Kathleen, Julia, Ametia, in infancy, and Frank.

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood, in the spring. Cremation has taken place. There will not be a funeral.

The staff at Gogebic Medical Care took excellent care of Roselle. Thank you.
