Greenland Township man charged after shooting

ONTONAGON — A Greenland Township man is facing charges after allegedly shooting a 23-year-old Ontonagon man this weekend.

Cole Wascher, 24, was arraigned Monday in 98th District Court in Ontonagon on charges of assault with intent to murder and possessing a firearm while committing a felony. The assault charge carries a sentence of up to life in prison, while the firearm charge is a two-year felony.

Negaunee Regional Dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 8:35 a.m. Sunday regarding a man being shot, a Michigan State Police spokesperson...
