Masons plan First Friday snowman contest

IRONWOOD — The members of Ironwood Masonic Lodge No. 389 are inviting the community to show off their snowman-making skills next week.

The lodge is sponsoring a build a snowman contest as part of the city’s monthly First Friday activities March 6.

“It’s just so the kids can get out and have some fun,” said Jeff Nielsen, who currently leads the lodge.

The event is scheduled to take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ironwood’s Depot Park, according to organizers and is open to anyone under the age of 15.
