OCALA, Fla. - It is with great sadness that the family of Arvo Toolanen announces his passing, on Friday, April 24, 2020, at the age of 72 years.

Arvo was born in Grand View Hospital in Ironwood, Michigan. He attended school in Ironwood Township and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood. He attended Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, College of the Siskiyous in Weed, California, and graduated from Palm Beach College in Lake Worth, Florida.

Arvo brought joy to all those who met him. He brought sunshine to the darkest of days and he will be forever remembered by his husband of 49 years and best friend, Louis; and by his brothers and sister, Levi (Mary Sue), Linda (Robert), and Dale (Sandy). Arvo will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.

Arvo was preceded in death by his father, Walfred; mother, Tyyne; sister, Laura; and brother, Lenny.

Arvo was a member of God's Acre Church in Ocala, but due to the current pandemic, plans have not yet been made for a Celebration of Life service.
