Aaron John Anderson

IRONWOOD, Mich. - Aaron John Anderson, 45, of Ironwood, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020.

Aaron was born on April 14, 1975, at Grand View Hospital in Ironwood, a son of James and Kathryn (Hendrickson) Anderson. He attended Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood and graduated in 1993.

On April 19, 1997, Aaron was blessed to marry the love of his life, Becky (Waurio) Anderson. They were blessed with three loving, faithful daughters.

Aaron was first and foremost a God-loving and faithful man. His love for God, family and friends was undeniable. He was a man who undoubtedly loved and protected his wife, Becky. He cherished the time he spent with her and his three daughters. He was a family man, whom everyone considered a son or brother.

He worked at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital as a maintenance mechanic, and people spoke highly of his work ethic and willingness to always help when needed. Outside of his workday, Aaron was always willing to help others and was a man who never said no, but also quietly helped those in need.

Aaron's passion for mission work and assisting his Church family was second to none. His love of the outdoors shined when he was helping others, especially on his mission trips to Mexico and Alaska. He was at peace in nature, especially at "da huntin' camp" or fishing from his boat.

Aaron is survived by his beloved wife, Becky; three daughters, McKenna, Leilah and Anneka; his mom and dad, Kathy and Jim; his in-laws, Dan and Carol Waurio; his three brothers, Sean (Kari), Nathan (Tracy) and Karl (Becky); his brothers-in-law, Todd, Brad (Laura) and Shawn (Katrina); and numerous nieces and nephews.

At the family's request, cremation will take place.

A celebration of Aaron's life will be held Saturday, Aug. 1, at The White Barn, 6653 Harding Road, Bessemer, MI 49911. A visitation will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steve Hyvonen officiating. A light lunch will be served following the service.

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song." - Psalm 28:7
