MADISON, Wis. - Judith Carolyn Berg passed away on Aug. 13, 2020 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
She was born on Dec. 4, 1943 to Arthur Larson and Aili Pikkumaki in Bruce Crossing, Michigan. She married her husband Peter John Berg on Feb. 17, 1962 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bruce Crossing. Judith was a bus driver for many years where she transported elderly and school children. Following her retirement she became the Ewen town librarian and having community ties was very important to her. She cherished her time on her vacations and when she attended her family reunions.
She is survived by her husband, Peter of 58 years; 7 children, Bruce Berg, Martina (Gary) Sozanski, John Berg, Jean Berg, Kathy Berg, Cheryl Berg and Chuck (Rosanne) Berg; brother, James (Rose) Larson; sister-in-law, Glorianne Larson; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Larson; sister, Doris Larson; and sister-in-law, Kate Berg.
The family would like to thank everyone for the many thoughts, cards people sent, prayers and support while Judy was ill.
Memorials may be made to the Ewen Library (McMillan Township Library), 200 S Cedar St, Ewen, MI 49925.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date in Michigan.
